With over 25 years of experience in the digital sector, I combine the rigor of engineering and AI research with a pragmatic entrepreneurial vision: I choose the best solutions for business goals, going beyond current technological trends.

Who am I?

My approach to problem-solving is rooted in mathematics: in 1990, I represented Italy at the International Mathematical Olympiad in Beijing. After graduating in Electronic Engineering from the University of Trieste with a thesis in image processing conducted at the EPFL in Lausanne, I chose the entrepreneurial path at the dawn of the web.

In 1998 I co-founded CercoCasa.net, one of the first national real estate portals, taking it to acquisition by investors in just two years. Between 2000 and 2003, in Milan, I managed web enterprise projects for companies like RCS (Corriere della Sera) and Rinascente, coordinating up to 6 teams and over 30 software developers.

In 2009 I returned to Trieste and founded and managed an IT consulting company, and I am Co-founder and CTO of XLbit, a company with which I created and scaled YesAlps.com, the reference portal for tourism in the Italian Alps.

To manage the human factor best in technology teams, I enriched my journey with university studies in Psychology. Today, alongside my role as CTO, I am engaged in academic research: after an Executive Master in Big Data and AI (24 ORE Business School), I am currently pursuing a PhD in Applied Data Science and AI at the University of Trieste, with a focus on Explainable AI (XAI)
